So its Saturday and the first day I have worked out since Monday. On Monday I hurt my back doing the fit test. I don't know how or what I did. I have a long history of working out so I'm aware of good body mechanics, but I just screwed up and did something wrong. SO. I haven't worked out, not because I didn't want to but I was in lots of pain. Pretty sure I pulled a muscle. So good news is, nothing serious and I'm back in the game. I did the work out today that I was supposed to do Tuesday, (wasn't sure how to handle that since everyday has a certain work out youre supposed to do) but Ill probably start anew Monday, back on the planned schedule.
I will say though that even though I couldn't work out, I stuck with my diet. I am proud of myself for this because I could have easily said screw it until next week. I enjoy the diet. I don't follow the meals in the booklet but create my own and watch calories. My fav is going to get a Salmon roll and miso soup. Yum... Its kind of a challenge on days when I have clinical (once a week usually) when I only get 2 breaks, I can't eat 5 small meals. But I just ate healthy and did th normal 3 meals a day thing on that day.
I'll be honest, the work out today was VERY hard. My main problem is that I cannot get past the nausea! I get so nauseous. I had to push pause about 3 times just to keep myself from yacking. It really sucks because Its different than just pushing through if you're tired (which believe me I am), it's, if I don't stop I absolutely will... ya know, puke. Gross I know. I hope this gets better as I go on and that I can get through a work out without pushing pause!
Also a trick i read about online is if you pour about 1/4 a cup of Gatorade into your water, its a good replenisher without so many calories and sugar. I did that today post workout and I could literally FEEL my energy coming back. I also ate a "recovery" power bar and I feel so great. My muscles are tired but usually when I work out really hard I tend to be completely dead after and want to go to sleep. now i feel energized.
Anyways, can't wait to see results. Just keep reminding myself of that.
